Building confident players through purposeful development, professional coaching, and a commitment to long term success.
Pottie Method Training is a hockey development organization based in Nova Scotia for athletes who want to improve, compete, and move forward in the game. We work with players from minor hockey through AAA, Junior, NCAA, and beyond, providing structured year round training built around real development.
We don’t just run camps. We focus on building complete athletes over time. Every program is part of a long term development plan that emphasizes skill development, physical preparation, hockey IQ, and habits that carry into games. Our goal is to help players train properly and understand what it takes to continue progressing.
TRAIN WITH A PURPOSE
Every drill, every session, and every program has a purpose. We don't believe in simply keeping athletes busy, we coach every detail.
PROFESSIONAL COACHING
Our coaches provide constant instruction, feedback, and corrections to ensure athletes improve with every session.
COMPLETE DEVELOPMENT
We develop the whole athlete - on the ice, in the gym, and in their mindset so they can perform at their best when it matters.
YEAR-ROUND
Our programs are designed to support athletes throughout the entire hockey season. Offering multiple programs for every athlete.
At Pottie Method Training, we believe every session should have a purpose. We don't run drills just to keep players moving or fill an hour of ice. If an athlete is spending time with us, there should be a reason for every drill, every correction, and every rep.
One thing you'll notice about our sessions is that they don't look like what many players are used to. We aren't interested in building flashy obstacle courses or running the same cookie-cutter drills that every player has seen hundreds of times. Everything we do has been created in-house by our coaching staff and continues to evolve every season as the game evolves.
We also believe coaching matters just as much as the drills themselves.
Our coaches are on the ice to coach. That means teaching, correcting, asking questions, and helping players understand the small details that make a big difference. You'll never see one coach standing in the middle watching four lines while players simply work their way through a drill. Every coach has a role, every station has a purpose, and every athlete should leave knowing they learned something that day.
We know there are a lot of hockey programs to choose from, and we're proud to do things differently. From the way our sessions are designed to the way our coaches interact with athletes, everything is built around one goal: helping players become better hockey players.
If you've never trained with Pottie Method before, you'll notice the difference. Not because our drills are louder or more complicated, but because every part of the session has been built with one thing in mind—developing better athletes.
Our coaches are the foundation of everything we do. With experience spanning high-level coaching, elite playing careers, and performance training, they bring knowledge, passion, and purpose to every session. More than instructors, they're mentors committed to developing better athletes and better people.
