Pottie Method On-Ice Development Programs are the foundation of everything we do on the ice — from skill development camps and small-group training to private sessions and elite-level programming. This is not ice for the sake of ice. Every session is purpose-built, structured, and coached with intention to develop players who can apply skill under pressure and in real game situations.
Our on-ice programs are led by experienced coaches with backgrounds in elite hockey, junior, and high-performance development. Athletes are actively coached, corrected, and challenged — not simply run through drills. We focus on habits, details, and decision-making that translate directly into game performance, giving players confidence when it matters most.
Development at Pottie Method goes beyond isolated skills. We emphasize efficient skating, puck control at speed, situational awareness, and competitive execution. Training environments are fast-paced, detail-driven, and built to push athletes outside their comfort zones while maintaining structure and accountability.
Our on-ice development programs are designed to support athletes at all stages — from minor hockey players building fundamentals to high-performance athletes preparing for elite competition. Every camp, clinic, and private session fits into a long-term development model that prioritizes progression, consistency, and confidence.

Please Note: All programs include goalie-specific training.
This is our flagship development program and the foundation of the Pottie Method system. The Summer Off-Season Program is designed for committed athletes who want to make a real jump in their game — not just stay sharp, but separate themselves.
Over 3 months, athletes are guided through a structured, progressive on-ice system that builds elite skating mechanics, puck skill under pressure, offensive confidence, and game intelligence. Every session is intentional, layered, and designed to reinforce habits that transfer directly into game performance.
This is not random skill work or volume skating. Each week builds on the last, challenging athletes physically and mentally while demanding execution at pace. Players and goaltenders leave this program more efficient, more confident, and fully prepared for the demands of tryouts and the upcoming season.
This is the standard.
This is where real development happens.

GOALTENDER DEVELOPMENT
Goaltenders train within a dedicated, structured goalie curriculum built to meet the demands of modern hockey. Sessions focus on technical efficiency, movement quality, and game-specific reads while reinforcing habits that translate directly into performance under pressure.

- Compete habits, confidence building, and consistency
This March Elite Development Camp is designed to sharpen both players and goaltenders at one of the most important points of the season — playoff time. While others step away or coast through the break, elite athletes use this window to refine speed, execution, and confidence when it matters most.
Each session is built around high-tempo, game-relevant detail. Athletes are pushed to operate at pace, manage pressure, and execute efficiently in playoff-style environments. This is not a volume camp — it is an intentional, high-impact tune-up designed to elevate performance heading into playoffs, spring tournaments, and upcoming evaluations.
This camp provides a competitive edge when games tighten, time disappears, and execution becomes the difference.
- Faster acceleration and first-step explosiveness for skaters
- Puck handling and skill execution at full speed under pressure
- Quick-release shooting mechanics and scoring efficiency
- Improved situational reads, scanning, and reaction time
- High-tempo compete habits and battle consistency
Our Spring Small Group On-Ice Training Program is the most critical on-ice transition phase of the entire year. This block is specifically built to bridge the gap between the winter season and off-season development, ensuring athletes maintain momentum, clean up habits, and sharpen their game before summer training, HPP, and ID camps.
After a long season, athletes don’t need unstructured skates or low-intent reps — they need purposeful, high-detail on-ice work. This phase focuses on refining mechanics, improving execution at pace, and reinforcing habits that carry directly into competition.
This is where timing is reset, confidence is rebuilt, and skills are sharpened under pressure. Athletes leave this phase prepared to enter the off-season sharp, efficient, and game-ready — not rusty or behind.
This phase is where great off-seasons begin on the ice.
- First-step quickness and acceleration
- Skating efficiency, edge control, and balance correction
- Puck protection and inside-traffic skill execution
- Shooting mechanics, accuracy, and release efficiency
- Small-area decision-making, scanning, and awareness
- Game-situational execution under pace and pressure
- Competitive habits, confidence rebuilding, and preparation for summer training

DESCRIPTION
The Pottie Method Summer Small Group / Semi-Private On-Ice Program is a bookable, skill-specific training option for both skaters and goaltenders looking for higher-level coaching and intentional development throughout the summer. These sessions are designed for athletes who want more than standard camps or open skates, with structured programming and hands-on coaching in a controlled small-group environment.
Each session is programmed around a specific development focus—such as power skating, shooting mechanics, offensive habits, defensive details, or positional skills—ensuring every skate has a clear purpose. Training themes are rotated and layered throughout the summer to allow athletes to build, refine, and apply skills with progression rather than repetition.
Group sizes are capped at 8 athletes to ensure consistent feedback, individual corrections, and accountability. This format allows coaches to adjust drills to each athlete’s skill level and position while maintaining a competitive, high-tempo environment.
Pricing reflects the semi-private format, capped group sizes, and individualized coaching provided during each session.
