WHERE TRAINING BECOMES REAL GAME SKILL
The Pottie Method 4×4 Summer League is where off-season training turns into real game execution. Designed to work directly alongside our Off-Season Development Program, this league gives athletes the opportunity to apply their skills in fast, high-tempo, competitive game situations every single week.
With fewer players on the ice, athletes are constantly involved — more puck touches, more decisions, more transitions, and more real development in less time.
HOW THE 4×4 LEAGUE WORKS WITH OUR OFF-SEASON DEVELOPMENT
Each week, athletes train their skating, puck skills, shooting, and game habits in our structured Off-Season sessions. Then, during 4×4 League play, they immediately apply those same skills in real game situations.
This creates a powerful development cycle:
Train → Apply → Learn → Repeat
• Skills become instinct through repetition
• Decision-making speeds up under pressure
• Players learn what works in real competition
• Confidence grows through real execution
Key 4×4 Development Benefits:
- More puck touches every shift
- Faster decisions under pressure
- Increased time and space to create offense
- Faster transitions and counter-attacks
- Improved spacing, awareness, and support habits
- More scoring chances and offensive confidence
- Higher pace and better conditioning
THE PERFECT COMPLEMENT TO OFF-SEASON TRAINING
The Off-Season Development Program builds the tools.

DESCRIPTION:
The Pottie Method 4×4 League is a hockey-specific development league designed to bridge the gap between training and real game performance. This is not casual summer hockey. Every game is built to reinforce the habits, skills, and decision-making athletes develop through our Off-Season training.
With fewer players on the ice, athletes are consistently involved in the play. Shifts demand puck touches, movement, communication, and quick decisions under pressure. Players are forced to read the game, create space, and compete at a higher pace than traditional full-ice formats, which accelerates development in a short period of time.
The 4×4 League provides a structured, competitive environment where athletes learn how to apply skills in real situations. Games are coached, paced properly, and designed to support development rather than just results. This allows players to build confidence, improve hockey sense, and become more effective in full-ice competition.
